Hi, I think this setup is awesome! right now, I just have an NEPVS14-17 (Green phos) and I like it quite a bit, but I'd like to supplement it with thermal. Would it be practical to switch between the two of them? I would like to primarily use my pvs14, but occasionally during a pause, turn on the thermal and scan around, I don't think using them simultaneously would benefit me. I'm also not sure whether it would benefit me to get the FLIR Breach or Armasight 320, is there a noticeable advantage to using one over the other? And yet another part of me figures I should just get dual PVS14's and just keep a handheld in my pocket... decisions, expensive decisions lol. The second option wouldn't be feasible for me for at least a couple years though. Any thoughts?

Which tubes would you put in a katana housing, L3 20UAH supergain or L3 24UA standard gain?

By design (physics) unfilmed tubes will have greater light transmission in the darkest scenarios and higher image quality and sharpness with less bloom than a filmed tube. That much is true and apparent in the video. Is it worth close to double the cost? Objectively, no. You're paying almost double for 10-15% more tangible real world performance over even the most standard of Gen 3 milspec tubes. Moore's Law but for night vision: the last 10% is always the most expensive.

That magnetic shut off might be a dealbreaker for me.

The M1 would have been perfect if they used ball detents or some other sturdier method of securing the FOV setting than the screws. The issue with ball detents is miniscule axial play (wobble) after they loosen up and wear in, but something like replaceable/interchangable springs with different tensions could maybe mitigate that or solve it altogether if they use the right material and spring rate. The irony obviously is not lost on them hence the fact they felt the need to release two fixed FOV mounts, one being the standard 40* which isn't "Pano" anymore.

NVGs are like level 4 body armor: once you get to a certain price point, further improvements require a lot more money.

Got mine not in the original box and without the speed loader. It was pretty close to a real AR-15 and fun to shoot. But the mag failed quickly after. It would leak CO2 as I tightened the first cartridge. Returned it.

Hey Will... Been a while since you made this video but very informative... I was wondering if you have had a chance to compare this unit with the N-Vision Nox 18. I see there are a few different features between the Two, but basically, I was interested to see if the Nox had better recognition distance than the Armasight ? It appears to be a significant difference and wondered if the extra is worth it. Having a small Thermal helmet mounted along with a Pvs-14 would help finding warm things before they find you...

Hey nitewalker got a question for ya. What would be the best way to bridge mount a pvs 14 and a pvs 18 to make duals? After researching the only option i have found is the KVC bridge with the pvs 14 shoe and then a shoe that connects to the monocular lens and then mount those both to the kvc bridge. Any suggestions?
